Tile roofs have a lifetime warranty; however, typically have the following issues:
The material is found broken.
This occurs due to the installer, or maybe satelitte or chimney repairmen, or somone/something impacting this material. When tileas are found broken water intrusion occurs to the felt paper underlayment and eventually finds its way into the home.
If homeowner has matching tiles removal and replacement of tile will occur. In most cases we have found that most people don't have extra tile stored. In that case we use an approved tile adhesive to mend the broken tile.
Slipped from position tile is another common occurrence and is easily remeided by repositioning and applying mastic on underlapping tile to prevent future slipage.
The most common leaking occurs in and around flashing such as roof to wall areas, but most of all in the valley ways. We recommend that all valleys and flash points be inspected as well as broken & slipped tiles |
